Richard Georgi


Richard Georgi founded Grove. He is the Chairman of the Investment Committee for each of Grove’s funds. He is responsible for leading the investment strategy and oversight across all platforms and across the firm. As the Managing Partner of Grove, Mr. Georgi initiated several European platforms and initially spearheaded Grove’s business in Japan. He is currently focused on building Grove’s U.S. business. Mr. Georgi has served and currently serves on the boards of many of Grove’s platforms.

Prior to founding Soros Real Estate in April 1999 (which was spun out into Grove in 2004) and becoming responsible for Soros Fund Management LLC's worldwide real estate related investments, Mr. Georgi was the Managing Director of Goldman Sachs in charge of the European investment activities of the Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds and was a member of the Whitehall Investment Committee.

Mr. Georgi received an MBA from Harvard Business School with distinction and a BA from Williams College cum laude where he competed for the NCAA Division I ski team. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Real Estate Academic Initiative at Harvard University and sits on the Advisory Committee for the Williams College endowment. He also serves on the board of certain non-profit initiatives including Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the U.S. Ski Team.
